Hey Everyone!

Welcome to Where's Molly. Actually Molly is hanging out at home trying to stick with her schedule of training for the upcoming Marathon Des Sables. I'll be leaving the States on March 23, 2009. I stop in Casablanca and then fly on to Ouarzazate (OZZ), Morocco. I am meeting a friend Jane Ballintyne, from Vancouver, British Columbia. We are bunking in OZZ for 3 days to get rid of jet lag and rest up before climbing on a bus March 27th at 9am. The bus will take us (and about 700 other runners) to a bivouac which will be the start line of the famous Marathon Des Sables (Marathon of the Sands) running approximately 150 miles inside the Sahara Desert. Right now I am trying to figure out how I can cram all my food and supplies into a tiny backpack. Since I have to be totally self supported during the race (that means I'm on my own!!) I'm trying to negotiate what to take and what to leave behind. I don't care what anyone says, my two essiential pieces of equipment are my hair brush and lip gloss. Call me vain or call me frivolous, I don't care. I always run better when I don't look like a guy. I look like a guy when I don't brush my hair and have on lip gloss....so there. So much for training tips.
Stay tuned....I'll keep you posted as I go!
